HIGH QUALITY FLEXIBLE PACKAGING ALTERNATIVE TO TRADTIONAL CANS IS INCREASINGLY POPULAR FOR PET FOOD AND OTHER PRODUCTS
WALDNER has experienced an overwhelming response to the high performance, high output DOSOMAT pouch filling machines sold to pet food manufacturers for filling 50-150g pouches for pet food. They have since supplied additional pouch packaging systems to a variety of food and pet food producers globally.
Consumers prefer more flexible packaging in pouches over rigid packaging, like cans, or cups. Several leading food companies have recognized this trend and decided to convert product lines from cans to pouches, including a major U.S. food producer. The sustainability attributes and the fresh quality feel of the packaging are further key selling points for consumers, compared with metal cans. Specifically, the flexibility of machinery and project design, tailored precisely to the customer’s needs, were the two key criteria ultimately responsible for the decision to go with WALDNER.
A Waldner DOSOMAT can range from two-lanes up to 12 lanes depending on pouch size and customer requirements. DOSOMAT pouch machines are specialized for dedicated high output pouch production, achieving capacities of over 1000 pouches per minute. Systems can also be designed for maximum flexibility for R&D, product development, and product trials. A DOSOMAT 2-lane machine can process pouches, between 80mm and 250mm wide, at a capacity of up to 80 pouches/minute.
CRITICAL FEATURES:
- Filler 1: Piston filler for liquid to pasty products with agitation in the hopper

The key to Waldner’s success with these critical features is the principle of clean filling allowing for high quality sealing.
